HRD Research Awards

The Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) awarded two of its most prestigious research awards to members of the HRE community at our annual conference in Washington, D.C., last week. Please join in congratulating them on these outstanding achievements:

Dissertation of the Year Award: Yu-Lin Wang (Ph.D. 2008), Adviser and Dissertation Director: Andrea Ellinger: Title: " Organizational Learning, Entrepreneural Opportunity Recognition, and Innovation Performance in High Technology Firms in Taiwan" Yu-Lin is now an Assistant Professor at National Chung Keng University in Taiwan.

Cutting Edge Research Award (Top Ten Refereed Conference Papers presented at the 2008 international conference): Russ Korte, for his conference paper titled: A case study of the socialization of newly hired engineers: How new engineers learn the social norms of an organization.
