Getting Started with Web Publishing

Overview

Web authoring involves writing, graphic design and information architecture skills. Publishing a web site roughly involves the following steps:

• Design the web site. What are your sites goals, who is your audience, what will the site look like, what content will be on the site.
• Create the HTML and image files using web authoring and image editing software.
• Find a web server to put your site on.
• Move the files onto that server.
• Publicize your web site to the world.
